Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic HR Business Partner to work closely with leaders across engineering, product, and manufacturing functions — the teams shaping India’s next generation of aerospace and technology systems.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-performance, high-velocity environment, understands technology and manufacturing cultures, and can translate business goals into people strategies. You’ll partner with leaders to shape the organization’s capability, drive performance, ensure compliance, and enhance the overall employee experience — while staying deeply grounded in day-to-day HR execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Partnering
• Partner with functional heads to align people priorities with business objectives, ensuring workforce readiness and capability for upcoming projects.
• Drive organization design, manpower planning, and succession strategies aligned to growth.
• Use HR analytics and insights to support data-driven decision-making around talent and engagement.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent performance, structure, and employee relations.

2. Talent & Capability Development
• Work closely with the TA function to ensure timely onboarding of the right talent for each function.
• Own the onboarding and assimilation experience, ensuring new hires have clear 90-day plans and connect well with their teams.
• Identify key skill gaps and coordinate with L&D to design upskilling, reskilling, and leadership development interventions.
• Support career progression and internal mobility frameworks.

3. Performance & Rewards
• Lead the performance management cycle – goal setting, continuous feedback, appraisal discussions, and performance improvement plans.
• Partner with the compensation team to drive salary reviews, benchmarking, and rewards programs.
• Support the implementation of variable pay, incentive, and recognition frameworks.
• Ensure internal equity and consistency in compensation and progression decisions.

4. Employee Relations & Engagement
• Foster a culture of openness, inclusion, and performance accountability.
• Lead employee engagement and communication initiatives that enhance morale and retention across sites.
• Manage grievances, employee relations cases, and workplace conflict with fairness and discretion.
• Conduct skip-level connects, stay interviews, and feedback sessions to identify engagement drivers.

5. HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance
• Partner with HR Operations to ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs, employee records, and documentation.
• Ensure smooth handling of HRIS, attendance, and compliance activities across employment categories (permanent, contract, consultants).
• Work closely with Finance for payroll audits, budget validation, and manpower cost controls.
• Oversee policy implementation, discipline cases, and ensure adherence to all applicable labour laws and new codes.

6. Administrative & Site HR Responsibilities
• Manage on-ground administrative HR tasks — employee data updates, vendor HR coordination, and HR-related communication for the BU/site.
• Ensure all HR activities at the business unit or facility level run smoothly — from attendance tracking to compliance checks.
• Support logistics for employee onboarding, travel reimbursements, events, and welfare programs.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong business acumen and understanding of engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to balance strategic influence and operational execution.
• Experience driving performance, rewards, and engagement frameworks in a fast-paced tech setup.
• High ownership, agility, and comfort in managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with HRMS tools, payroll systems, spreadsheets, and HR analytics dashboards.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of Kannada and/or Hindi is an advantage.

Experience & Qualification

• Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management (Engineering background preferred).
• 10–12 years of total HR experience, with a minimum of 8 years in an HRBP role supporting technology, product, or manufacturing functions.
• Experience in deep-tech, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing organizations is a strong plus.
